Gallon House Bridge
Oregon's oldest covered bridge. It was named for the days when
liquor was sold by that gallon or quart in a nearby house. The
bridge was rebuilt in 1990.

Falls State Park
Nestled in the lower elevation of Oregon's
Cascade Mountains lies a temperate rain forest. It's here that the
Trail of Ten Falls/Canyon Trail (770k) can be found. The Canyon
Trail and the falls descend to a forest floor covered with ferns,
mosses, and wildflowers. You will also find stands of Douglas fir,
hemlock, and cedar. While the park is visited by thousands every
year, it's large enough for you to find quiet places to sit and
watch for birds.

Bobbie ‘The Wonder Dog’ traveled more than 2,800 miles from
Walcott, Indiana where he was lost on August 15, 1923 to
Silverton where he arrived to the delight of his family on
February 15, 1924. Silverton celebrates his amazing feat with

Great Backyard Bird Count
February 15-16, 2008 -- Silverton
All across North America, thousands of people of all ages and
backgrounds will be participating in the 11th annual
GBBC, sponsored by Audubon and Cornell Ornithology Lab.
This year, The Oregon Garden is an official counting site!
Please join us for bird walks on the hour from 8am to 12pm,
both days. Make sure to dress for the weather. Binoculars are
suggested. FREE for teachers

Rediscovery Forest and meet Cameron the Caterpillar. Children
